To anyone not living in a tree swing in Sumatra, the news about the Haiti tragedy is everywhere one turns. The true horror of the 7.0 earthquake which struck late yesterday has yet to be unveiled, but it’s scope and ramifications are simply mind boggling. Reports are stating that survivors are stacking the dead in the street and worst case scenarios predict upwards of tens of thousands injured and dead.
Throughout the years, fans, friends, and family have been very supportive of me, the Worldwide Church of Satanic Liberation, and the causes we support. Their generosity has been truly heart warming. Unfortunately I need to ask for yet more. Anyone thinking of buying a membership or any WCSL merchandise should hold off. That money is desperately needed for food, water, housing, and medical care for the Haitians struggling to get through this disaster. Please don’t turn a blind eye. I urge anyone able to donate to please do so.
The US State Department says if you wish to help immediately, simply text “HAITI” to 90999 and $10 will go to the Red Cross automatically (charged to your cell phone). You can also donate to the Salvation Army, a great organization which has worked in Haiti for sixty years.
